    Rüsselsheim/Paris. This world premiere is simply electrifying: Opel will revolutionize electric mobility at this year’s Paris Motor Show with the Ampera-e. From October 1-16, the new electric car makes its first major appearance in hall 5-2, booth 501. The superstar at the show offers a range of over 400 kilometers, significantly more than its rivals in the segment, and it also impressively shows how well sustainability and driving fun can create a harmonious unit. Opel will reveal further major news on the Ampera-e during the Paris press conference that will take place at the Opel booth at 12:15 p.m on September 29. Other highlights from the Rüsselsheim automaker at the “Mondial de l’Automobile 2016” are the adventurous MOKKA X and the new Zafira – the travelling lounge on wheels featuring top connectivity. Opel CEO Dr. Karl-Thomas Neumann will also reveal the other stars of the show, KARL ROCKS and the sporty, elegant special model Cascada Supreme.

    “With the new Ampera-e, we continue the largest model offensive in the history of our company,” says Opel CEO Dr. Karl-Thomas Neumann. “Our show exhibit clearly shows the direction of development: the Ampera-e proves that electric mobility is fully feasible for everyday use and is also lots of fun. The models MOKKA X, Zafira and KARL ROCKS expand our portfolio with the ideal touch of adventure and individuality.”

    E like extreme acceleration: Ampera-e with power of a sports car

    The maximum torque of 360 Nm is responsible for the electrifying temperament of the new Opel. The performance of the electric engine is equivalent to 150 kW/204 hp.

    Effortless starts from a standing position (such as at traffic lights) or highway access are two of the Opel Ampera-e’s main strengths. The compact electric car covers the sprint from zero to 50 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, on par with sportscars. In addition, it completes mid-range acceleration from 80 to 120 km/h, which is especially important for overtaking, in just 4.5 seconds (provisional figures). The Ampera-e thus performs at the same level as OPC models, the sporty spearheads of Opel.

    At the same time, the Ampera-e also offers a significantly longer range than most other electric cars. In accordance with the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC, the current standard for range comparisons between different vehicles) the new e-car from Rüsselsheim can clear the magical 400 kilometer barrier by a considerable margin without recharging (purely electrical range measured based on the NEDC in km: >400; provisional figure). This makes Opel’s new electric compact model by far the best in its segment. The unique, compact proportions of the Ampera-e are driven by the battery pack being mounted flat, under the vehicle floor. The efficient packaging of the battery also enables a roomy interior providing comfortable seating for five passengers and trunk space comparable with that of a five-door car in the compact class. In typical Opel fashion, its generous spaciousness comes with the best in digital connectivity. The Ampera-e has the newest generation of IntelliLink infotainment, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Opel OnStar onboard.

    A real adventure with X Factor: The Opel MOKKA X

    Another shining star in Paris is the new Opel MOKKA X. The compact SUV is wider and has a more solid and masculine stance than its successful predecessor – it has everything it takes to become an absolute customer favorite. The sporty, robust SUV turns heads with its newly designed front while its interior impresses with its functional and neatly arranged instrument panel. It looks both simpler and purer, as well as sharper and more precise in its execution. MOKKA X drivers can choose between various state-of-the-art versions of the new generation of the IntelliLink infotainment system; in addition there is top connectivity with Opel OnStar (standard from Edition). Another one of the MOKKA X’s highlights is its superb optional adaptive 4×4 drive system with electronic, multi-disk clutch. It can seamlessly distribute power between the front and rear axle from 100:0 to 50:50. This increases safety, optimizes fuel economy and significantly boosts driving pleasure.

    Lounge on wheels with top connectivity: Opel Zafira in new look

    Visitors to the Opel booth can also get an up-close look at all the new Zafira’s stand-out qualities. When the lounge on wheels is available at dealerships in a few days, it doesn’t only count on the tried and true qualities of its predecessor such as the Flex7® seating system, the AGR-certified ergonomic front seats (Aktion Gesunder Rücken e.V. – Campaign for Healthier Backs), the FlexFix® bicycle carrier and the adaptive FlexRide chassis. The new Zafira also features a new, bold exterior design and a re-designed interior with an especially spacious ambience and superb connectivity. Depending on the end device, Opel’s newest-generation IntelliLink infotainment system is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. And for the first time in this vehicle class, Opel offers the latest-generation Adaptive Forward Lighting AFL with LED technology as an option. This all makes the new Zafira a comfortable travelling lounge for driver and passengers.

    Ready for the urban jungle: The Opel KARL ROCKS

    Opel unveils the KARL ROCKS in Paris as a special attraction for all urbanites. Opel’s new wild child features many characteristics of a true SUV and shares many virtues connected with this vehicle class such as an elevated seating position that enables better visibility, easier access to the cabin and an outstanding connectivity offer. Its rugged exterior features silver roof rails, robust front and rear bumpers with integrated skid plates, black front and rear wheelhouse moldings and unique 15-inch bi-color look alloy wheels. Furthermore, the new Opel KARL ROCKS maintains the unquestionable practicality of the Opel KARL with five doors, five seats, compact dimensions and a maximum trunk space over 1,000 liters up to the roof making it the ideal vehicle for a broad audience of city dwellers.

    Black beauty: The Opel Cascada Supreme

    The new Cascada Supreme – an all-season convertible with extra flair – will also be in the spotlight at the Opel booth. Every detail and every shade of color of the special model is finely matched. Soon the four-seat convertible can be ordered either in “Pull Me Over Red”, “Summit White” or “Black Meet Kettle”. These three exterior colors are uniquely accented by the black grille, the black mirrors and the two-tone glossy-black 20-inch alloy wheels. Inspired by the glowing red signature line of Opel‘s futuristic design study, the GT Concept, the seams of the seat fabrics and the door and cockpit trims are accented in sporty red.

    Hubo un rumor que hablaba del GT3.2, pero salieron diversos clientes hablando de que sería en realidad el GTS.2, no se sabe a ciencia cierta, también la prensa especula con el Panamera Sport Turismo, con respecto al GT2 RS este será presentado en Ginebra de 2017 ya que se pondrá a la venta en primavera-verano del próximo año, con respecto al GT3RS.2 es muy posible que aumente su cilindrada a 4.2litros será presentado entre septiembre de 2017 y marzo del 2018, fecha la cual por cierto será presentado una serie muy limitada no es otro que el 911 Speedster al parecer será manual tendrá 500 hp y se construirán 356 unidades, el próximo 911 (992) será presentado en septiembre de 2018, para terminar Porsche esta valorando sacar una versión de calle del próximo 911 GTE de motor central que competirá el año que viene en en WEC en la categoría GTE PRO, una cosa así como coche de producción aunque sea una serie limitada, bufff, vamos un nuevo GT1:×485.jpg" />

    Toyota en el Salón del Automóvil de París 2016

    – Presentación europea del Prius plug-in hybrid, un nuevo híbrido enchufable, y el prototipo FCV PLUS, un nuevo vehículo de pila de combustible.
    – El stand en París estará presidido por el C-HR, la nueva propuesta de Toyota entre los crossover del segmento C.

    En el próximo Salón del Automóvil de París, que se celebrará del 1 al 16 de octubre, Toyota compartirá su visión de futuro, tanto inmediata como a medio plazo.

    Se llevará a cabo el estreno europeo del Prius plug-in hybrid. Fabricado a partir de la Nueva Arquitectura Global de Toyota —Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA)—, ofrecerá una eficiencia excepcional gracias a su nuevo sistema híbrido enchufable.

    El Toyota FCV PLUS también hará su debut en Europa. Con este prototipo, Toyota analiza cómo los futuros vehículos a base de hidrógeno pueden contribuir a la sociedad. Por otra parte, un amplio apartado del stand de Toyota en París se reservará a la exposición del C-HR. Este crossover del segmento C se presenta en sociedad en París, después de que su diseño exterior definitivo se desvelara en el Salón del Automóvil de Ginebra de 2016.

    Finalmente, el espacio expositivo de Toyota celebrará el lanzamiento de Toyota GAZOO Racing, donde se reúnen a partir de ahora todas las actividades automovilísticas de Toyota bajo un mismo paraguas, con el fin de otorgar una importancia central al automovilismo en la misión de Toyota de crear vehículos cada vez mejores.

    SUV Offensive and Three World Premieres : PEUGEOT at the 2016 Paris Motor Show

    PEUGEOT is entering the second half of the year with confidence after a strong first six months of the year, including:

    – the continued success of the PEUGEOT 308, the brand’s best-seller which is in the top 3 of the European C segment and which is the driving force behind the PEUGEOT’s move up market, with up to 20% of the mix produced by the GT Line, GT and GTi by PEUGEOT Sport finishings;
    – the success of the PEUGEOT 208, which was redesigned last year, and for which sales are up 15% in Europe;
    – the success of the new PEUGEOT 2008 SUV launched in June which is second in its segment in Europe;

    NEW PEUGEOT 2008, 3008 AND 5008: SUV OFFENSIVE
    This year, we launched five new SUVs as part of our world offensive in this segment. After the new PEUGEOT 2008 in Europe and the major changes to the PEUGEOT 3008 in China over the first six months of the year, the brand unveiled the PEUGEOT 4008 in China less than a month ago and is now presenting two new SUVs in Paris, the PEUGEOT 3008 and 5008.

    The elegance and dynamic performance of the PEUGEOT 2008 have been highly praised by customers since its launch; the distinctive new design of the 2016 model is both powerful and seductive.

    The new GT Line finishing, which now covers the entire line, offers a sporty and chic ambiance. The PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® delivers unprecedented sensations and makes driving intuitive, agile and safe.

    With its dynamic, top-of-the-line handling, the new PEUGEOT 2008 has an adaptive Grip Control motor system that makes it versatile and able to adapt to any kind of terrain.

    The PEUGEOT 2008 is equipped with the Mirror Screen, which uses MirrorLink® and Apple CarPlayTM and rare devices in this segment like a reverse camera, Active City Brake and Park Assist.

    The new PEUGEOT 5008: SUVs enter a new dimension
    Though its name hasn’t changed, the design is entirely unprecedented. The new PEUGEOT 5008 breaks new ground as a large seven-seater SUV in the C segment. As a new contender in this promising consumer market, it boasts many strengths.

    The new PEUGEOT 5008 SUV has not only the new PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® system and the Efficient Modular Platform EMP2, but also a number of other high-tech features. Beneath its elegant and dynamic design you will find remarkable functionality: with its seven individual seats, the new PEUGEOT 5008 SUV is the first SUV with incredible modularity worthy of the best multi-purpose vehicles.     PEUGEOT has continued its quest to make the driving experience more pleasurable by carefully studying the best way to design the driver’s cockpit.

    This quest resulted in an innovative interior layout: the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®.

    It includes essential elements that make it easy to identify and highly desirable.

    The latest generation of the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® launched in the new PEUGEOT 3008 and 5008 has all the latest technology for comfort and safety. It amplifies every sense more than ever:

    -The steering wheel is even more compact. Redesigned with a rim with two flat parts for an improved grip, it provides more space for the driver’s legs and increases their field of vision.

    -The head-up display combination uses a 12.3” high-resolution digital screen with futuristic graphics. The display is entirely adjustable and customisable and it brings together everything the driver could want within their line of vision so that their eyes never leave the road and they can focus on driving. The aesthetics of each configuration rely on animations and modern, technological transitions.

    -The large 8” touch screen that brings together comfort controls in an intuitive way and makes it easy to use all the vehicle’s features. It is located in the centre of the dashboard and has powerful technology to make it more reactive and practical to use.

    This screen is complemented by a central console with an elaborate design. It boasts a series of high-quality chrome toggle switches that are metallic and soft to the touch.

    With a simple touch of one of these buttons, there is something to appeal to all the senses:
    – sight, through adjustments to screen brightness and colour settings;
    – hearing, via musical ambience settings;
    – touch, through multipoint seat massage programmes;
    – smell, with a fragrance diffuser.

    The vehicle offers passengers two sensory environments to begin with: Boost, for energetic driving, and Relax, for a calmer experience. Both of these modes are entirely customisable. They create a unique and unforgettable on-board experience for driver and passengers alike.

    The new PEUGEOT 3008 DKR, taking on Dakar in 2017
    PEUGEOT will begin the 2017 season strong, drawing on its victories in Dakar in January (South America) and in the Silk Way Rally this summer (Russia, Kazakhstan and China).

    The next Dakar Rally is already shaping up to be a formidable and keenly contested competition. The four Team PEUGEOT Total crews will remain unchanged and will all possess a powerful new speed demon: the PEUGEOT 3008 DKR.

    Designed in collaboration with the PEUGEOT Style Centre, the PEUGEOT 3008 DKR offers an extreme vision of the new 3008 SUV by expanding on the elements that make it easy to identify and its size as well as its tinted back windows. The racing car remains faithful to the fiery attitude and form of the SUV, with a black cell resting on wide beams and chrome finishings to highlight the roof line. The front and rear views for the two vehicles are similar, including the projecting parts, the grill and the band with the red “claws” for tail lights.

    When it comes to the technical aspects, PEUGEOT Sport mainly worked on cooling, suspension (vibration dampers and geometry) to further improve the handling of the car, the mass of the car (which remains the same in spite of some reinforcement), and above all the integration of an air conditioning system which will undoubtedly be very appreciated by the crews.

    The engine was also a major focus for work. It was adapted to fit the new FIA rules, reducing the diameter of the air restrictor from 39 to 38 mm for 2 wheel drive vehicles, leading to a loss of around 20 horsepower. Engineers tried to counterbalance that loss and improve the usability of the engine at low speeds. Major efforts were also made to ensure improved reliability of the engine environment.

    As in 2015, Team PEUGEOT Total will hold a full-scale rehearsal during the Rallye du Marco (from 3-7 October) where the PEUGEOT 3008 DKR will be tested on a race course by Carlos Sainz/Lucas Cruz. They will be joined by Cyril Despres/David Castera, the winners of the Silk Way Rally, for the final official participation of the PEUGEOT 2008 DKR.

    The 2017 Team PEUGEOT Total crew members Stéphane Peterhansel/Jean Paul Cottret, Carlos Sainz/Lucas Cruz, Cyril Despres/David Castera and Sébastien Loeb/Daniel Elena will be at the starting line for the 2017 Dakar Rally driving four PEUGEOT 3008 DKRs.

    September 22, 2016 – Hyundai Motor gives a first glimpse at its latest high-performance N concept the RN30 that will celebrate its world premiere on the 29th September at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. The motorsport-inspired racing concept is developed to deliver passion and pleasure on the track for everybody.

    Based on the New Generation Hyundai i30, the RN30 was born as a racing machine, developed in close collaboration with Hyundai Motorsport (HMSG), Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center (HMETC) and Hyundai Motor’s Performance Development & High Performance Vehicle Division. The striking concept is distinguished by its purposeful aerodynamic design and specialised high-performance technologies that deliver thrilling high-speed driving.

    The silhouette of the RN30 is unmistakably inherited from the clean and cohesive lines of the New Generation Hyundai i30, but with a lower, wider stance to enable greater stability during high speed driving and cornering.

    The high-performance Hyundai N Concept RN30 will celebrate its world premiere at the 2016 Paris Motor Show on September 29 alongside the New Generation Hyundai i30 and the New i10. The Hyundai Motor Press Conference will take place at 15:15 CET on the stand number 417 in Hall 3.

    The target of the new 500 Riva are motorists seeking on dry land the same exclusivity as the Aquariva Super yacht – iconic model currently produced by Riva and heir of the legendary Aquarama – and the accessibility that has made the 500 an icon: quality materials and a unique style that simulate the emotions of sailing on the streets of the city.
    A combination that has immediately won favour amongst motorists everywhere. Only three months after orders for the 500 Riva opened in the main European countries, more than 3,000 cars were sold, a figure far beyond all expectations.
    And so the feather in the cap of the 500 range quite rightfully took pride of place at the Paris Motor Show, giving visitors the chance to admire its beauty and elegance alongside the Italian yacht that inspired it, emblem of the Italian boat manufacturing industry.
    The “Sera Blue” colour of the bodywork is the only colour chosen for this special series, it being one of the historical and most popular shades in the palette proposed for the Aquariva Super yachts.
    The open top version present on the stand features an exclusive dark blue hood, especially designed for this model. Instead, its sedan twin is characterised by a black panoramic roof, which gives it a particularly elegant look.

    Unique details embellish the livery: the mirror caps are chrome-plated, as are the handles and the bonnet trim which emphasises its streamline style, in perfect harmony with the style of the boats produced by the legendary shipyard in Sarnico. Furthermore, a double aquamarine line enhances the soft profile of the 500: running along the belt line, it recalls the beautiful line present in the yachts. Lastly, the brand new and exclusive 16″ 20-spoke light alloy rims, characterised by a dedicated blue finish, designed especially for this version. The special Riva 500 series is also the only one to feature the logo of the nautical legend on the boot, wheel arch, wooden insert on the side panel and on the dashboard.

    The dashboard is the real heart of the 500 Riva. Made of hand-painted mahogany with maple inlay work, it offers the occupants the luxurious warmth of life on-board, as emphasised by the Riva logo. An innovative engineering process was implemented to make the dashboard: the wood is applied onto an ultralight carbon shell to ensure stability, flexibility and perfect strength over time. The maple inlays are inserted by hand, making each creation truly unique. In this way, wood – the most natural of materials – meets state-of-the-art technology for a result of absolute excellence, just like on Riva yachts: the perfect combination of state-of-the-art technology and expert craftsmanship. In addition to the dashboard, other details in mahogany include the door sills and gear knob, machined from solid wood. From September on, the 500 Riva will also be embellished by an even more exclusive detail: the steering wheel with an elegant wood inlay. And exclusivity is also the name of the game for the seats, with ivory Poltrona Frau® leather upholstery in quilted effect and contrasting ivory stitching. The seat side strips are Sera blue, like the profiles of the seatbelts, also ivory. As visitors to the Fiat stand at the Paris Motor Show can see, everything on board the vehicle, from the colours to the materials, recalls the exclusive environment of Aquariva Super. The attention to detail is meticulous, in a coherent and elegant colour palette. The mats have been especially created with ivory hems and contrasting “Sera Blue” stitching, while the boot mat also features a wood insert with Riva lettering.

    The Fiat 500 Riva has a particularly wide range of standard safety features, including seven airbags, ABS complete with EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution), ESC (Electronic Stability Control), ASR (Anti Slip Regulation) Hill Holder, which assists the driver during hill starts, and HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assistance) that helps with emergency braking. Naturally, the standard equipment also includes automatic air-conditioning, fog lights, LED day-time lights and a personalised TFT screen with aquamarine background and Riva logo.

    Visitors to the Motor Show in Paris will be able to see a couple of 500 Riva cars take to the runway, equipped with the brilliant 1.2 Fire 69 HP engine. But the 500 Riva range presents many alternatives including the two-cylinder 0.9 TwinAir 85 and 105 HP engines and the diesel 1.3 Multijet 95 HP engine.

    The Tipo family
    Personality, simplicity and functionality combined with an unbeatable offer of value: these are the characteristics that have sealed the success of the Tipo family and have led it to win the prestigious “Autobest” award as “Best Buy Car 2016”. An exceptional, full-range offer, focused on “value for money”, the key element in the strategy of the Fiat functional family, as summed up by the slogan ” You don’t need much to get a lot”.

    On the stand, visitors will also have the chance to admire an example of the 4-door sedan in the “Lounge” version, equipped with the 1.6 Multijet II Euro 6 120 HP turbodiesel engine in the metallic “Maestro Grey” colour. The Tipo range is completed by the 5Doors and SW versions, which are also shown with Lounge trim level. The Fiat Tipo 5Doors will be unveiled in two variants: the 1.4 T-Jet Euro 6 120 HP in metallic Amore Red livery and the 1.6 MultiJet II 120 HP with the new automatic dual clutch transmission – launched in the dealerships in the last few days- for the model in metallic Cinema Black. The youngest addition to the family brings it full circle, the long-awaited Station Wagon variant, which will take to the exhibition floor in the metallic “Mediterranean Blue” and “Colosseum Grey” colours. These are powered by the 1.6 Multijet II diesel engine with dual-clutch automatic transmission and by the petrol 1.4 T-Jet engine, both Euro 6 with 120 HP.

    The three styles share the same values but each have unique personalities as diverse as their respective target audiences, from families and couples to young people.
    The Tipo family was developed around the brief “Skills, no frills” and combines the Fiat brand’s historic concepts of functionality, simplicity and personality in an extraordinary value-for-money offering.

    The 4Doors has “rocked the market” with an incredible equation of values in terms of contents, quality and price: and it is no coincidence that so far over 50,000 examples of this model have been sold in the EMEA area, including 25,000 in Europe. This is an exceptional figure if we consider that before the Tipo 4Doors, the compact sedan market in Europe accounted for 50,000 units per year. The 5Doors version was launched in the dealerships before the summer, and has already been chosen by over 15,000 customers in just over three months. Therefore, thanks to its contribution, the Tipo family is still gaining favour with customers and has now been firmly stationed at the top of segment C in Italy for the last two months, beating several well-respected competitors with tradition on their side, racking up a 21% market share in August: more than 1 compact vehicle in 5 is a Fiat Tipo in Italy, and the car has also been declared the third best-selling car of all in the Italian car industry.

    In September the Tipo family will be complete, with the arrival of the third, long-awaited variant: the Tipo Station Wagon is the most spacious, flexible vehicle on the market, remaining true to the Tipo family’s balanced price, content and quality ratio, while ensuring additional functionality and flexibility. In 4.57 metres of length, it combines a comfort level for its occupants at the top of the category with room for passengers up to 1.87 metres tall in the front seat and three 1.80 metre tall passengers on the rear seat at the same time, with 550 litres of boot space. The vehicle can be put to a number of different uses with “Magic Cargo Space” the function that allows the boot to be configured with only one hand, making it perfect for all family, leisure or work needs. It has a configurable shelf that can be set to two positions to increase the boot depth and two removable side walls can be used to stow small objects and exploit the width of the boot to the max.

    The asymmetric Flip&Fold seats also provide a flat, continuous loading surface without steps at the tailgate, of over 1.80 metres in length.
    This way, the new Tipo Station Wagon responds to all customer requirements with maximum flexibility, and can be used to carry bikes, skis, pushchairs, surf boards and luggage.
    To sum up, a Fiat that specifically targets families and Business to Business customers, given the extraordinary equation of value between price, product characteristics and contents. But that’s not all: from the early stages of development, special attention was given to total cost of ownership (TCO), a key consideration for both private and business-to-business customers. The top-in-class TCO values are made possible by particularly low fuel consumption, coupled with low maintenance, repair and running costs. Furthermore, the simple and straightforward range and the comprehensive standard equipment keep the residual value high in the long term, while the specific Business versions offer a comprehensive solution to the needs of fleet customers.

    Particular emphasis has been given to the range of Euro 6 engines, designed for the heart of the European market and developed over three different engine strengths with three different types of fuel systems. We are talking about the petrol-driven 1.4 16v Fire 95 HP engine, the 1.4 T-Jet 120 HP engine and the 1.6 E-torQ 110 HP engine, in addition to the dual petrol and LPG 1.4 T-Jet 120 HP engine. The range is completed by the 1.3 Multijet II 95 HP and 1.6 Multijet II 120 HP turbodiesel engines, now also available in “ECO” version: this is a choice based on a higher performance, favouring fuel efficiency and lower emissions. It is therefore the ideal vehicle for long distance trips and optimises the Total Cost of Ownership. Its secret lies in the effective combination of sophisticated motor sport solutions and specific on-board features. In detail, the 1.6 MultiJet II engine incorporates a Start&Stop system, intelligent alternator, variable displacement oil pump, electronically controlled fuel pump and electric thermostat. The ECO version incorporates an aerodynamic pack that includes Active Grille Shutter (AGS), which adjusts the air flow to the cooling system by opening and closing the front grille, thereby also keeping the engine at the correct operating temperature. Furthermore, the restriction of air flow reduces aerodynamic drag, which has a positive effect on fuel consumption.
    Also included in the pack are low wind resistance 16″ alloy wheels with low rolling resistance tyres.
    Thanks to these features, the Tipo 1.6 MultiJet II ECO cuts CO2 emissions to 89 g/km in the combined test cycle.

    In September, DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission will also be available on the full 1.6 Multijet II range. This ensures continuous torque and traction delivery without loss of power during gear changes. Technically, the system consists of two automated transmissions, one with the even gears and the other with the odd gears positioned in parallel. The gear is changed in one of the two, while the other continues the traction with another gear. The gear is effectively changed by adjusting the corresponding clutches to ensure the continuity of traction during the entire manoeuvre. The clutches are the “dry” type to minimise the impact on the vehicle and maximise the efficiency of the entire system. The dual clutch transmission can be used in automatic or sequential manner, according to whether the driver chooses a comfortable and fuel-efficient or a more dynamic driving style.

    Additionally, in true Fiat style, the Tipo family is packed with plenty of clever solutions that make life better for everyone on-board. The line-up offers remarkably generous standard equipment, such as the innovative UconnectTM 7″ HD LIVE system, featuring a 7″ high-resolution colour touchscreen display with capacitive screen that the user can pinch and swipe just like a tablet. The latest-generation system includes a hands-free Bluetooth interface, audio streaming, text reader and voice recognition, AUX and USB ports with iPod integration, controls on the steering wheel and, on demand, rear parking camera and the new TomTom 3D built-in navigation system.

    The customer will always be connected, with the UconnectTM LIVE services available on the touchscreen radio.

    Apple CarPlay allows the driver to use their iPhone in the car in the most intuitive way possible: it perfectly integrates the iPhone with the car’s display and native controls. Now users will be able to make calls, play their music, send and receive messages, get directions optimised for traffic conditions and much more, while staying focused on the road.

    Android Auto will give the driver useful information organised in simple sheets that only appear when necessary. This function gives access to Google Maps with voice-guided navigation system, traffic information in real time, lane guidance; Google Play Music and many other music services; the ability to make and receive calls and send messages while keeping your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road.

    Ready to face the challenges of the future, the Tipo family was designed in Italy by the Fiat Style Centre and developed in Europe and Turkey together with Tofaş R&D, one of FCA’s largest research and development centres, involving a dedicated team of over 2,000 people during the three-year development process. During that time, the models were tested over a total distance of 8.7 million kilometres in extreme weather, road and high altitude conditions, in order to be ready for sale in over 50 countries in the EMEA area.
    The final result is a family of sturdy, reliable cars, marking Fiat’s full comeback to the medium-size vehicle segment, the second largest segment in Europe in terms of size and the first segment for Business to Business customers.

    Fiat 500S
    The Fiat 500S is the new sports version characterised by its bold look and full standard equipment. Available in two versions, sedan and convertible, the new model targets a young, mostly male clientele seeking a vehicle with a strong sporty personality. Aesthetically speaking, the 500S is characterised by sportier front and rear bumpers, with built-in fog lights, side-skirts and special spoilers and by the introduction of details, from the exclusive “Satin Graphite” paint (as on the door and tailgate handles, mirror caps and alloy rims), the rear tinted windows, chrome-plated tailpipe, “black grained” air intakes and the eye-catching honeycomb bottom grille.
    The 15″ rims are also exclusive to this model and enriched by the specific “Satin Graphite” finish. Additionally, 16″ rims with a matt diamond black treatment are also available as optionals.
    Finally, the exclusive colour palette chosen to further enhance the bold appearance of the vehicle features the colours Italia Blue and new matt Alpi Green, only for the sedan version.
    The vehicle on the stand is equipped with a two-cylinder petrol 0.9 TwinAir 105 HP engine, which increases fuel efficiency and reduces emissions, still managing to shine thanks to its engine boost. The 500S is also available with a 1.2 petrol 69 HP engine and as a 1.3 Multijet 95 HP turbodiesel model.

    Finally, the interior of the New 500S stands out for the “Satin Graphite” details (such as the dashboard fascia), special sports steering wheel and matching black seats and roof rack, in contrast with the door panels and the stitching on the chairs, available in light blue, white and yellow. Frau leather interiors with white or blue details are available on request.

    Infotainment on the 500
    The new 500 Riva and 500S are two personalities of the iconic Fiat vehicle. They are designed to captivate all motorists who share a passion for on-board comfort and the most innovative technological features. The dashboard in both models incorporates a UconnectTM 7″ HD LIVE touchscreen with tablet effect and HD display, the next frontier of infotainment. This system implements a wide range of functions, including UconnectTM LIVE services as standard, Bluetooth hands-free system, voice recognition and plenty of music options in addition to FM/AM radio. The driver can connect their multimedia devices via USB or using the 3.5mm auxiliary jack, or stream music from a compatible smartphone using Bluetooth. In addition, the new UconnectTM 7 “HD LIVE will soon be available on request with the integrated mirroring system for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, digital radio (DAB) and a 3D integrated TomTom navigation system.

    The new versions complement the 500 range with the latest audio experience from Beats by Dr. Dre, the system designed to revolutionise the way in which music can be heard inside the vehicle. Optionals on the 500 Riva and 500S include the exclusive BeatsAudioTM system, boasting a total output of 440 watts and featuring a digital 8-channel amplifier integrating an advanced equalisation algorithm, which can recreate the entire sound spectrum that an artist experiences during studio recording.
    The Beats AudioTM system consists of 8-channel amplifiers with 440 watts of power; two dome tweeters installed in the front pillars; two 165 mm midwoofers in the front doors; two full-range 165 mm speakers in the rear side panels; and one 200 mm subwoofer in the centre of the luggage compartment, in the spare wheel compartment.

    Fiat 124 Spider
    The new Fiat 124 Spider revives the storied nameplate, bringing its classic styling and performance to a new generation. Paying homage to its namesake, the original 124 Spider that was launched 50 years ago, it delivers an authentic Italian roadster experience with driving excitement, technology and safety combined with inimitable Italian design. Visitors to the Paris Motor Show will be able to admire the new limited edition special “America” series: it celebrates, with special equipment, the 124 Spider that commemorated the 50th anniversary of Pininfarina in the 1980s. And indeed, the special series also sports the same magnetic bronze paintwork featured on the original model. The caps of the rear view mirrors are silver in colour and the interior is upholstered in a tobacco shade of leather. Upon request, the new 124 Spider America can be supplied with 17″ light alloy wheel rims in the historic design and rear baggage rack. These two accessories are developed by Mopar, the reference brand for services, Customer Care, original spare parts and accessories for the FCA brands which emphasise their vintage identity. Finally, the 124 America Spider includes a celebratory plaque with the issue number and a logo on the front grille. From a technical point of view, the vehicle hosts the début of the six-gear sequential automatic transmission – orders open from October in major European countries -, which is the fruit of an accurate study designed to make the most of the engine torque and ultra-rapid gear changes.

    The stand also hosts another 124 Spider, in “Lusso” version with Ice White livery and interior in black leather. Both of the vehicles on display feature three packs designed to personalise the 124 Spider version. More in detail, these are the “Visibility Pack” which includes, among other things, full LED adaptive headlights with light and rain sensors; the “Radio Pack” with DAB radio, a 7″ touchscreen display, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and multimedia control, and the “Bose Pack” which features nine speakers, four of which are integrated in the headrests. The “America” version also features the Premium pack which includes a navigator with 3D maps, a rear video camera and Keyless entry system.

    Standard equipment still includes four airbags, manual climate control, MP3 radio with USB port and four speakers, leather steering wheel, cruise control, 16″ alloy wheel rims and Keyless Go function. Not to mention the active bonnet. The “Lusso” upgrade adds many fine details, such as 17″ alloy wheel rims, leather seats, lower dashboard and instrument cluster hood with stitching details, Premium Silver roll-bars and front pillar, chrome-plated twin tailpipe, fog lights and automatic climate control system.

    In the EMEA region, the Fiat 124 Spider is equipped with the reliable 1.4-litre turbo four-cylinder engine with MultiAir technology, which delivers 140 HP power and 240 Nm of torque, and is available with six-speed manual transmission and automatic transmission. The performance obtained with manual transmission is outstanding, including a top speed of 215 km/h with acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. The 124 Spider’s suspension uses a double-wishbone layout in front and a multilink in the rear, specifically tuned for greater stability while braking and turning. Steering is accurate and responsive with the use of an electric power assist system. The steering and suspension set-up, lightweight frame, balanced weight distribution and turbocharged engine combine for a dynamic driving experience. Noise vibration and harshness (NVH) enhancements, including an acoustic front windscreen, also help to deliver a refined, quiet ride. For an open-air driving experience, the Fiat 124 Spider’s soft manual convertible top is easy to operate and requires minimal force. Therefore, with the 124 Spider, Fiat is making a comeback to the convertible segment. Not by chance, over the course of Fiat’s history, open tops have been a key feature of very successful models which are considered authentic examples of the finest Italian design.

    Fiat 500X
    The 500X is also something of a head-turner: on the stand, visitors can admire it in the Cross Plus version, the off-road model featuring special bumpers with bumper protectors. The vehicle on display is fitted with the brand new winning combination of a 1.6 Multijet 120 HP engine with front-wheel drive and DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission.
    Exhibited in the exclusive three-layer colour Amalfi Yellow, it is embellished by black mirror caps and diamond wheel rims from the rich Mopar range. The upholstery is in structured grey fabric with knit and black eco-leather inserts.

    The 500X leads the segment in terms of technology and safety systems. The vehicle on show is equipped with automatic climate control, Lane Assist system (which alerts the driver with visual and acoustic warnings in the event of involuntary lane changes), Brake Control (which warns the driver of potential collision risks and independently brakes the vehicle if the driver fails to react in time), Blind Spot Assist (which alerts the driver to the presence of vehicles in blind spots) and Rear Cross Path Detection (which warns the driver of the presence of vehicles approaching from the side when reversing). Last but not least, it also has Adaptive Cruise Control, enabling the optimum speed for the traffic conditions to be automatically set in real time. It relies on a radar sensor mounted on the front of the vehicle to detect objects in its path. If the road ahead is clear, the system reverts to the set speed. If a slower-moving vehicle is detected, the system automatically regulates itself to maintain a safer distance (selected by the driver), using the accelerator and brakes.
    Maximum safety is also assured by a high level of visibility. The model has Bi-Xenon headlamps fitted to enable sharper illumination because they are closer to the natural viewing conditions of the human eye, as well as fog lights with cornering function that perfectly illuminate the inside of the curves. Furthermore, the automatic headlights switch on and off automatically depending on the light conditions, and also change automatically from high to low beam when other vehicles are approaching.

    From a technical point of view, the most important innovation in the vehicle on display is the Multijet II engine, combined with the DCT dual-clutch gear system, which offers high standards in terms of comfort and user-friendliness while still retaining the popular dynamic characteristics of the 1.6 120 HP engine.
    Technically, the system consists of two automated transmissions, one with the even gears and the other with the odd gears positioned in parallel. The gear is engaged in one of the two, whereas the other continues to provide traction with the other gear. The effective gear change is obtained by modulating the corresponding clutches in order to guarantee continuous traction during the entire manoeuvre. The clutches are the “dry” type to minimise the impact on the vehicle and maximise the efficiency of the entire system and enhance the driving experience.

    The 6-gear, dual clutch automatic transmission interacts in real time with all the vehicle’s electronic systems. For better road performance, depending on driving conditions and the driver’s style, the transmission continuously “communicates” with the “Mode Selector” switch, and therefore with the braking and steering systems in addition to the engine control unit and the vehicle stability control system. Additionally, the DCT transmission can be set to automatic or sequential mode, using the gear stick or steering wheel controls.

    On board the 500X, comfort and a pleasant driving experience are key elements, as is evident from the wide range of contents offered, such as, for example, the Electric Park Brake, Keyless Entry and Keyless Go (for opening the doors and starting the car without a key) and the three-position Drive Mode Selector. Finally, the 500X is the poster vehicle for round-the-clock connectivity. Its UConnect 6.5” Radio Nav LIVE is the ultimate in infotainment. Add to this a large, high definition touchscreen, 3D navigation functionality and many other services, for a brand new driving experience. With Tom LIVE, motorists can receive traffic, weather and route updates in real time. The Reuters news app is also available on the 500X, ensuring that the latest news from all over the world is always close to hand, and the music apps TuneIn and Deezer, which offer a library of over 35 million tracks. The vehicle also features the powerful HiFi Beats By Dr. Dre system, with 9 speakers and an 8-channel amplifier.

    Finally, American actor Adrien Brody will be driving the versatile, technological 500X: he is the star of the new commercial after having featured in that of the exclusive and elegant 500 Riva.

    Fiat 500L
    The line-up is completed by the 500L model, which combines the iconic 500 style with the functionality of Fiat’s design tradition. This special alchemy has resulted in the ‘City Lounge Fiat’, a new approach to a city car which is an emotional reformulation of the compact vehicle category for the modern family. In Paris, visitors can admire the Trekking version with Pack S in matt silver livery with matt black roof, upholstery in black leather and matt silver dashboard. The Pack S styling provides a unique look created by the contrast between the red brake callipers, matt black details (front and rear bumpers, fenders and side skirts) and exclusive 17″ matt black alloy wheels. The vehicle also features the Hi-Fi Beats sound system by Dr. Dre, with six speakers plus stereo subwoofer offering 520 watts of power, amplifier with DSP, eight channels and an advanced equalisation algorithm for an equally unique audio experience. Under the bonnet, excellent performances are ensured by the 1.6 Multijet 120 HP engine, with a compact variable geometry turbocharger that delivers a very high torque power at low rotation speeds (320 Nm at 1750 rpms).
    This version is a true free spirit with two perfectly integrated personalities that come to the fore depending on the conditions: the city friendly car that takes all the stress out of urban driving and its more adventurous counterpart that emerges to bring fun and excitement to weekend trips out of town.
    Indeed, the vehicle sports a look that expresses its full versatility, paired with a raised ride height and exclusive bumpers with bumper protectors. Standard equipment includes smart forward-drive with Traction+ technology and this, together with the M+S “snowflake” tires (again provided as standard), increases the traction of the vehicle on slippery terrains. All this without missing out on the generous space and practical functionality intrinsic to the 500L, the vehicle that best holds together the small pleasures and grand emotions of life – children, friends, trips – thanks to a 3.17m3 passenger compartment and a wide, regular boot (with volume of up to 455 litres).

    Fiat Panda
    Paris will also be sure to welcome the refreshed 2017 Panda, the best selling car in Italy in its segment since 2012, with an updated offer, as always in tune with the characteristics that have made it successful and that are the cornerstones of the Fiat functional family: personality, practicality and simplicity. Ever since it was first introduced, Panda has stood out for its unmistakable personality and characteristic agreeability developed to emphasise three different expressions of the model: city car, 4×4 and Cross. These temperaments are united by functionality and simplicity: very compact exterior dimensions, interior space exploited to the max and configurable to all transport needs, a wide choice of engines and interior and exterior colour combinations able to meet every requirement. Finally, a simple range embellished by the new UconnectTM infotainment system with Bluetooth and cradle on the dashboard for integration with Android and iOS smartphones.

    The stand wouldn’t be complete without the ultimate winter vehicle, one that shines and stands out for its style, efficiency, easy handling and compact size. We mean the Fiat Panda Cross 2017 of course, which concentrates all the exclusiveness of the off-road performances typical of vehicles in higher categories into just 370 centimetres. This car is simply one of a kind, because it teams a traction system and technical features which are ideal for off-road driving offering the performance and contents of an SUV, with the external dimensions, efficiency and easy handling of a city car, along with a distinctive style that manages to combine rational design with thrilling driveability.
    The vehicle on show is clad in the new Colosseum grey colour, in a bid to emphasise its technical personality, with two-tone seats in grey fabric and brown eco-leather and brown dashboard with satin silver panel. It is fitted with the 1.3 Multijet II 95 HP engine, which combines an extraordinary power with a generous torque and low consumption levels. The all-wheel drive car features the Electronic Differential Lock, which it was the first to introduce to the market.

    Fiat stand
    The stand in Paris will use sophisticated symbolism and elegance to attract visitors. The theme of the installation is duality and the complementarity of opposing elements, as summarised by the Yin and Yang concept. In other words, mutually related elements that constantly alternate through changes in the state of equilibrium. In short, the stand represents the two functional and exciting worlds that characterise the Fiat brand.

    On the white side, to the left of the stand, you will find models characterised by simplicity, functionality and convenience: the features that have always marked the Fiat brand. Even so, over the course of its history, Fiat has created thrilling vehicles that have become a fashion icon. “Value for money” and “Dolce vita”, typically Italian values, are both part of the brand’s DNA – which is why on the black side, to the right, there are vehicles that embody seduction and ambition. Alongside the 500 Riva, visitors will be able to admire the iconic Aquariva yacht, on a purpose-built platform. This is the ultimate model made in the Riva yard, which bears perfect testimony to the natural stylistic evolution of the brand. The soft, elegant forms and the fine woods encompass the flavour of tradition, while the innovative technical solutions ensure exceptional performances.

    From an architectural point of view, the underlying construction that defines the space looks like a fluid and harmonious structure with a contemporary edge.
    From the front, visitors can appreciate all the cars on show while videos are projected on the large screen. By means of a clever alternation of full spaces and voids, the background conveys a feeling of solidity and enveloping protection. The same which is felt at the wheel of a Fiat.
    The surfaces consist of a few essential materials such as steel, wood and glass, the latter used in shades of black and white that are perfectly in harmony with the architectural setting.

    Visitors to the Paris Motor Show can discover the new line of merchandising dedicated to the Fiat brand and, in particular, to the 500: an exclusive collection, created jointly with the Style Centre, and designed to express a lifestyle that is capable of charming even the most demanding customers. In particular, a public always on the lookout for new, trendy ideas that appreciates the sweatshirts with built-in earphones that allow the wearer to comfortably listen to their music, and more fashionable products, such as the bags in technical fabric, characterised by exclusive patterns and the “power bank”, useful for recharging your smartphone wherever you may be.     Over the last 75 years, Jeep® vehicles have defined the authentic 4×4 driving experience, setting the benchmark for off-road capability and freedom since the first vehicle rolled off the production line in 1941. This year, the Jeep brand is celebrating its 75th anniversary, an important milestone enhanced by the significant sale success achieved in the EMEA region where the brand recorded its 34th consecutive month of year-over-year sales growth in August. To honor this landmark year, the brand returns to Paris International Motor Show to stage the introduction in the region of the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, the Jeep flagship model and the most awarded SUV in history.

    Revealed to the public at the New York Auto Show in March earlier this year, the new 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee has been enhanced in terms of styling, standard premium content and trims. Further expanding the range of the most awarded SUV ever, the new Trailhawk model strengthens the off-road capability of Grand Cherokee by adding a host of specific off-road features, including the Quadra drive II 4×4 system with rear Electronic Limited Slip Differential, a unique version of the Quadra lift air suspension, for improved articulation and total suspension travel, as well as Selec-Speed Control with Hill Ascent Control.
    The 2017 Grand Cherokee lineup also features an even more exclusive and premium top-of-the-range Summit model characterized by a more upscale, hand crafted optional leather-wrapped interior, a new exterior look and additional standard premium safety features. Also displayed for the first time in Paris is the 2017 model year of the high-performance Grand Cherokee SRT model, sporting exterior upgrades on the front fascia, fog lamps and grille.

    On the Jeep stand at Paris Motor Show, two exclusive special edition models are displayed in preview for the European public: the Jeep Renegade Desert Hawk and Jeep Cherokee Night Eagle II. Further enhancing the offer of exclusive limited-edition trim levels designed around both the Jeep small and mid-size SUVs, the two models confirm that the natural flair for customization belongs to the entire Jeep lineup.

    At this year’s Paris Motor Show, the Jeep brand will also broaden the powertrain offer available on Jeep Renegade with the introduction of the dual-dry clutch transmission (DDCT) in combination with the efficient 1.6-litre Multijet II diesel engine and front wheel drive.

    Two ‘Moparized’ vehicles, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and the Renegade Longitude, both upgraded with MoparONE pack will be displayed on the Jeep stand to introduce the all-new special, off-road customization package offered by Mopar and including specific off-road accessories and lift kit. These packages feature homologated accessories and will be soon available for sale at the Jeep dealerships across the EMEA region.

    2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee is the star of the Jeep stand in Paris. The new model year of the most awarded SUV ever features an updated style, with changes that give the front-end a more premium and aggressive appearance, thanks to the redesigned lower front fascia with new fog lights and signature Jeep seven-slot grille.

    With the 2017 model year, the Jeep brand introduces the all-new Trailhawk trim level that will add further 4×4 prowess to the Jeep flagship, and will bring consistency in the Jeep range as already for the Cherokee and Renegade Trailhawk models. The new trim will highlight the legendary Jeep 4×4 capability by offering specific off-road features, combined to the premiumness, craftsmanship and advanced technological amenities of Grand Cherokee. At the same time, the refreshed Summit trim level, will enhance the refinement of the Jeep flagship model adding exclusive features in the cabin and in the standard vehicle’s equipment. The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee will arrive in Jeep EMEA showrooms starting December 2016.

    Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk
    The Jeep brand introduced the “Trailhawk” name on the Grand Cherokee concept vehicle that first appeared at the 2012 Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. The idea was to deliver a unique and more rugged appearance, with a host of functional features that resulted in an increased level of off-road 4×4 capability. The “Trailhawk” name officially moved to production with the introduction of the all-new Jeep Cherokee in 2013, as the most capable version of the new mid-size Jeep SUV, and continued with the Renegade, the small SUV launched in 2014. Today, the Trailhawk name completes the Grand Cherokee lineup adding a sixth model to the Laredo, Limited, Overland, Summit and SRT trim levels available in the Grand Cherokee range.

    The Trailhawk exterior features a newly designed front fascia and seven-slot Jeep grille and Trailhawk unique, standard 18-inch Goodyear Adventure off-road tires with Kevlar reinforcement. The exterior look is further enhanced by new Trailhawk and Trail Rated badges with red accents, a Trailhawk-specific anti-glare hood decal, mirror caps and a roof rack with Neutral Gray accents. Standard skid plates and available Mopar Rock rails complete the exterior of the new Trailhawk trim level and deliver added protection when tackling extreme off-road trails.

    Inside, Trailhawk models feature a unique Black interior with leather and suede performance seats, red accent stitching on the seats, doors and console, brushed Piano Black appliques and gun-metal finish on all painted interior parts. A Trailhawk badge on the steering wheel completes the interior of the new Trailhawk trim level. Also standard is the 8.4-inch Uconnect touch screen with updated off-road pages showing wheel articulation and other vehicle 4×4 capability features, such as suspension height and 4×4 and Selec-Terrain modes.

    Grand Cherokee Trailhawk models are equipped with a host of standard off-road capability features, including standard Quadra-Lift air suspension – developed for Trailhawk – that offers improved articulation and total suspension travel, as well as upgraded Selec-Speed Control with Hill Ascent Control that allows the driver to control the speed of the vehicle, both uphill and downhill, using the steering wheel paddle shifters instead of requiring the use of the accelerator or brake pedals.

    Approach angles on the Jeep Grand Cherokee are 29.8 degrees, while the breakover angle is 27.1 degrees and the departure angle is 22.8 degrees. Grand Cherokee Trailhawk models offer up to 10.8 inches of ground clearance.

    The Grand Cherokee Trailhawk on display in Paris will be sporting a Granite Crystal exterior and black leather and suede seats and is powered by the efficient 3.0-litre Multijet II 250 HP engine matched with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

    Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit
    The Summit trim level represents the top of the range model and offers the highest level of sophistication featuring a new look with an updated front fascia, grille and LED fog lamps, and new 20-inch polished 5 spoke aluminum wheels.
    In the cabin, an optional new full-wrap Laguna leather interior in the two color combination of Indigo and Ski Gray is one of four color schemes featured on the new Summit. The new interior also boasts a Nappa leather-wrapped dashboard, center console and door panels, and Laguna leather seats with edge welting.
    Exclusive feature found on the Summit model is a nineteen-speaker, 825-watt high-performance Harman Kardon surround sound audio system. This state-of-the-art system features a twelve-channel amplifier, three sub-woofers and surrounds the occupants in high-definition sound.
    Other Summit interior colors are Black, Brown and Dark Sienna Brown. All Summit models come equipped with a suede premium headliner, lighted door sill, acoustic windshield and full side glass, Active Noise Cancellation system and premium Berber carpet mats.
    An array of technological and safety features are also standard on the 2017 Grand Cherokee Summit, including Lane Departure Warning, Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist and Trailer Hitch Camera View.
    In details, Lane Departure Warning includes a forward-mounted camera that detects and measures the vehicle’s position within a lane. If the driver does not respond to the warnings, Lane Keep Assist will help gently nudge the vehicle back into the lane by applying corrective steering input.
    Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist, on the other hand, is an advanced system that recognizes openings and prompts the driver with commands on how to park in a space by pushing a button to engage the ultrasonic sensors for parking assistance. This system combines with the ParkSense® Front and Rear Park Assist System to add an extra measure of safety and security.
    Jeep’s Quadra-Drive II 4×4 system with ELSD is standard on all Summit models, as is Grand Cherokee’s Quadra-Lift air suspension.

    The Grand Cherokee Summit showcased on the Jeep stand in Paris will boast an exclusive Pearl White three-layer-color paint exterior matched to a Ski Gray and Indigo Blue full leather wrapped interior and will be powered by the 3.0-litre Multijet II 250 HP engine with eight-speed automatic transmission.

    Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT
    For 2017, the Grand Cherokee SRT model features a new aggressive front fascia with functional air intakes, incorporating an upper and lower slot which provides air to the cooling module and brakes, fog lamps and grille.
    The best performing production Jeep vehicle ever has a powerful 6.4-litre V-8 engine with Fuel Saver Technology that delivers 468 horsepower and 624 Nm of torque. Performance includes 0-100 km/h acceleration in less than 5 seconds, 0-162-0 km/h in 16.3 seconds, quarter mile (400m) in the mid-13 second range and a top speed of 257km/h.

    To fully appreciate the performance, the Grand Cherokee SRT has-exclusive Performance Pages with an expanded array of performance timers and gauge readouts, while the various drive modes including launch control, allow owners the ability to personalize their drive experience whether it’s on-road or on-track.
    Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT will be available in the EMEA region with comprehensive equipment that includes Nappa leather and suede sports seats, 20-inch alloy rims, Uconnect 8.4-inch system with DAB and navigator, Commandview panoramic electric sunroof, Lane Departure Warning, Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist and Trailer Hitch Camera View.

    Jeep Renegade
    Launched exactly two years ago, Jeep Renegade is the model that most of all is leading the brand to record-breaking sales results at both EMEA and European level. Almost 330,000 Renegade have come off the production line as of August 31st, giving an important contribution in building up the brand’s spectacular commercial success. In 24 months, the Jeep small SUV has been firmly climbing up the sales charts in many countries, including Italy – the first market for Renegade in the region – the UK, France, Spain and Austria.
    During the first eight months of 2016, 51,300 Jeep Renegade were sold in Europe, with a 47,1% increase versus the same period in 2015. A success story, further confirming the Jeep small SUV’s leading role as top-selling model of the brand in the European market. Top countries for Renegade sales in the region are Italy (22,800 units), the UK (7,200 units) and France (6,000 units).

    Jeep Renegade Desert Hawk
    Based on the Trailhawk trim, the new Jeep Renegade Desert Hawk limited-edition model was inspired by one of the most extreme locations where the legendary off-road capability of Jeep vehicles as well as the freedom of going beyond the known limits to venture into unexplored territories that is in the brand’s DNA are expressed at their best.
    As a matter of fact, in the Jeep language, the name ‘Hawk’ suggests a unique and more rugged appearance, with functional features that deliver an increased level of 4×4 performance. First of all the unique hood decal, featuring the outline of a map and the US Army Star decal located on the vehicle’s side close to its rear end are both styling cues introduced specifically for this limited-edition model. A Matte Black front grille and 17″ Black Aluminium wheels also contribute to enhance the distinctive look of this vehicle. Further exterior appointments characterizing the Desert Hawk are the off-road skid plates, the rear tow hook and the ‘Deserthawk’ logo on the driver’s door.
    The tribute to the desert is also suggested by the exclusive Mojave Sand exterior that reminds of the distinctive color of the sand, sported by the vehicle on display in Paris.

    The interior of the new special edition model features Black leather and cloth seats enhanced by White accent stitching and “Deserthawk” logo embroidered on the upper portion of the backrests. Standard equipment includes front and rear parking sensor, dual-zone automatic climate control, premium instrument cluster with 7″ TFT color display, tire pressure monitoring system and cruise control. In addition, the Renegade Desert Hawk features UConnect system touchscreen radio with 6.5″ color display, standard navigation and the new embedded Jeep Skills application that provides real time information on the driving performance and perfectly fits with the mission of this new limited-edition model: to allow the driver to understand the legendary Jeep off-road capability while being up with the times.
    Optional features available on the Desert Hawk are the My Sky roof with removable panels for an authentic open-air driving experience, the Parkview rear camera and the 9 speaker Premium audio system by BeatsTM.
    With its distinctive, aggressive look, standard special off-road equipment including the Jeep Active Drive Low system with 20:1 crawl ratio, Selec-Terrain system with exclusive Rock mode and Hill descent control, the Desert Hawk stands out as the most capable Renegade model and the most capable small SUV in its category for off-road driving. It will be introduced in the Jeep dealerships across Europe starting November, with the 2.0-litre Multijet II diesel featuring 170 HP and the 9-speed automatic gearbox. Available exterior colors in addition to Mojave Sand are Anvil, Solid Black and Alpine White.

    1.6-litre Multijet II engine with Dual Dry-Clutch six-speed automatic transmission (DDCT)

    In Paris, the Renegade powertrain offer will be further extended thanks to the introduction of the Dual Dry-Clutch six-speed automatic transmission (DDCT) on the efficient 1.6-litre Multjet II engine with Stop&Start. The new engine-transmission combination will be available only on Renegade models featuring the front-wheel-drive configuration starting end of November across Europe.

    The new gearbox will be made available on the most popular and sold Renegade engine in the region – the 1.6-litre Multijet II diesel engine delivering 120 horsepower – and thanks to its efficient fuel economy ratings and low CO2 emissions, respectively 4.5 l/100 km and 118 g/km (combined cycle), it will satisfy customers’ more diverse needs being the perfect choice for both private and company cars drivers.

    Formerly mated only with the 1.4-liter MultiAir2 Turbo engine of the Renegade, DDCT uses two clutches to connect the engine and transmission rather than one. Using two clutches makes it possible to carry out “power shifts” without any break in power transmitted to the ground because the ratios of the second half-gearbox are synchronized while the first is in operation. This means that the transmission of torque to the wheels is not interrupted – even during gearshifts, resulting in improved vehicle performance and driving comfort.

    Jeep Cherokee Night Eagle II special-edition model
    Designed to enhance the already bold design of Jeep Cherokee, the ‘Night Eagle II’ special-edition model will be based on the Limited trim level, and will feature a special aesthetic treatment with black styling cues to enhance the aggressive look and sporty character of the Jeep mid-size SUV. Building on the commercial success of the Night Eagle special edition presented exactly one year ago at Frankfurt Motor Show, the new Night Eagle II limited-edition model reasserts Cherokee’s audacious personality and unique flair for customization through a distinctive style conveyed by several dark design elements and glossy black accents on the exterior. These include the front ‘Jeep’ badge, Black DLO, grille surrounds and front fascia applique, Black Gloss roof bars, 18″ painted wheel with Gloss Black finish and Black ‘Jeep’ and ‘4×4’ badges. The exterior is completed by a dedicated Night Eagle badge. In the cabin, the comprehensive standard equipment available includes Black interiors, premium Nappa Leather-trimmed heated and ventilated bucket seats, eight-way power driver seat with four-way power driver lumbar adjust, 7-inch full-color, TFT reconfigurable instrument cluster, Uconnect radio with navigation and 8.4-inch touchscreen, 506-watt Alpine audio with nine speakers and subwoofer and two-zone climate control system.

    Sporting a Black exterior and black leather interior, the Cherokee Night Eagle II displayed on the Jeep stand in Paris offers a complete standard equipment, including bi-xenon headlamps, Parkview rear backup camera, Park Sense front and rear park assist, automatic headlights and rain sensor, power liftgate and folding mirrors. An array of advanced safety features is also included in this special-edition model, such as Lanesense Lane Departure Warning, full-speed Forward Collision Warning with Crash Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop&Go, Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection and ParkSense Parallel/Perpendicular Park Assist.     The Night Eagle II is powered by a 2.2-litre Multijet II 200 HP engine offered in combination with the 9-speed automatic transmission and Active Drive I 4×4 system.     ‘Moparized’ vehicles

    Jeep Wrangler Rubicon upgraded with MoparONE pack
    The Moparized Jeep Wrangler showcased in Paris is based on the Rubicon trim level – the most extreme and capable off-road vehicle in the Wrangler range and boasts Hyper Green exterior and Black leather interior.
    In order to increase the off-road capability of the Rubicon model, this vehicle has been upgraded with MoparONE, the special, purchasable customization package by Mopar including 2″ lift kit, steering stabilizer, skid plates and 17″ black painted cast aluminum wheels with large Hankook Dynapro 265/75 R17 tires. This special package by Mopar transforms the Wrangler Rubicon in the first ‘Moparized’ vehicle for off-road driving featuring homologated accessories and lift kit. The MoparONE pack will be soon on sale at the official Jeep dealerships of the EMEA region on both the 2-door and 4-door Rubicon models.

    Black windshield mounted light bar with off-road halogen lights, vented hood, tubular side steps and body-colour half doors complete the look of this ‘Moparized’ Rubicon model, further enhancing the unique personality of the iconic Wrangler.
    Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with MoparONE pack is powered by the 2.8-litre 200 HP Euro 6 turbo diesel engine with 5-speed automatic transmission.

    ‘Moparized’ Jeep Renegade
    Based on the Longitude trim level the ‘Moparized’ Jeep Renegade showcased in Paris boasts a distinctive Solar Yellow exterior with Black hood and US army star door decals, matt black mirror covers and front grille. In order to enhance the off-road look of the Jeep small SUV, this vehicle has been fitted with a special customization package by Mopar including 1″ suspension lift kit and large All-season tires.
    The Jeep Renegade Solar Yellow on display in Paris is powered by the 2.0-litre 140 HP Multijet II diesel engine paired to the six-speed manual transmission and Jeep Active Drive 4×4 system.
    In brief, the MoparONE package is available in two different versions – one for Wrangler and one for Renegade – and offers specific content according to the model, enhancing the off-road capability of both vehicles.

    Jeep Stand
    The Jeep exhibition area is characterized by clean shapes that outline an essential, contemporary structure featuring the multiple terrains where Jeep vehicles can express their character at their best: in the city as well as on extreme off-road trails. The use of finely crafted, natural materials, such as wood and stone, suggests a setting that is a combination between a wild outdoor landscape and a sophisticate urban environment, thus hinting at the two ‘souls’ in the DNA of the brand: the core, rugged soul that belongs to Wrangler and the more premium and refined one, expressed by the flagship Grand Cherokee.
    The technological and innovative soul of the Jeep brand is emphasized with large LED wall surfaces featuring videos of the Jeep brand and its models. A corner dedicated to Uconnect LIVE, will host an interactive totem where visitors can test its connected services and live the Jeep Skills experience thanks to the Oculus technology and 360-degrees videos.
    In the middle of the stand a dedicated area will host the ‘Moparized’ Wrangler Rubicon with MoparONE pack and an array of ‘virtual’ activities dedicated to surfing. The ‘surfing corner’, characterized by a floor featuring a special ‘sand’ effect and contrasting with the stone floor under the wooden bridge, will offer visitors the chance to enjoy the “Jeep Ride” game designed to support the surfing competitions of the prestigious World Surf League (WSL) men’s and women’s 2016 Championship Tour (CT) taking place in Portugal and France and starring the Jeep brand as the WSL’s exclusive automotive Global Partner for the second year running.

    A selection of exclusive accessories and genuine Jeep spare parts made in collaboration with Mopar will be showcased in a dedicated corner of the exhibition area.

    Lastly, through illustrative materials and dedicated publications handed out at the stand, visitors will be introduced to the products of FCA Bank, a financing company specialized in the automotive sector.     In Paris, the Alfa Romeo Giulia will be unveiled in five different guises: two new Veloce incarnations, two Super versions and a captivating Quadrifoglio. Alongside these creations, the public can also view the New Giulietta Veloce and the New Mito Veloce, both featuring a pronounced family feeling with the Giulia, as well as the Coupé and Spider versions of the Alfa Romeo 4C, the brand’s modern icon. All these cars are unique in their design and technology, and they were created to thrill on the road and on the track. For over a century, Alfa Romeo cars have been dedicated to those who demand that their cars transcend the concept of a ‘useful means of transport’ and become instead a ‘source of deep excitement’.

    Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce
    “Veloce” is a glorious name that is evocative of the Alfa Romeo tradition, established in 1956 with the Giulietta model and ever since illuminating the brand’s outstandingly sporting and original versions. Today, the name Veloce glorifies another Giulia, to satisfy the needs of customers yearning for contents packed with personality.     The Parisian show will showcase two new Giulia Veloce variants, both with 8-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive: the first model sees the début of the as yet unseen Blue Misano livery and is fitted with the new 280 HP 2.0-litre Turbo petrol engine, while the second Giulia Veloce, displaying an alluring Silverstone grey body, is fitted with the new 210 HP 2.2-litre Diesel engine.

    Distinctive style and exclusive equipment
    The exterior of the new Giulia Veloce stands out both for its refined styling features, such as the specific bumpers and glossy black door trim, as well as for various sports contents such as the special rear extractor which incorporates a double exhaust pipe and the optional 5-hole 19″ alloy wheel rims. The same sporty feel reigns inside, where new black leather Sport seats dominate, plus a sports steering wheel with an original grip, aluminium inserts on the dashboard, central tunnel, door panels and Xenon headlights.

    This distinctive interior and exterior style houses a wealth of standard equipment, including dual-zone climate control, the Alfa DNA system and 6.5″ Connect infotainment system, as well as the new efficient active safety systems such as Forward Collision Warning (FCW) with Autonomous Emergency Brake (AEB) and pedestrian recognition, the Integrated Brake System (IBS), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and cruise control with speed limiter.

    Two new engine versions
    The Giulia Veloce heralds the début of the new 2-litre petrol engine – a 4-cylinder engine made entirely of aluminium – which generates 280 horsepower at 5,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 400Nm at 2,250 rpm. In addition to the MultiAir electro-hydraulic valve activation system, the particular features of this engine include the “2-in-1″ ” turbocharger system and direct injection with a 200-bar high pressure system which combine to deliver a particularly quick response to accelerator commands at all speeds while permitting highly efficient consumption levels.

    Alternatively, the Giulia Veloce can be fitted with the new 2.2-litre Diesel engine which develops a maximum power of 210 HP at 3,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 470 Nm at 1,750 rpm. A special note: the 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine on the Giulia is the first diesel engine in Alfa Romeo history to have been built entirely in aluminium. With four cylinders in line, this engine stands out for its latest-generation injection system with MultiJet II technology and Injection Rate Shaping (IRS), along with operating pressures of 2,000 bar. The electrically-operated variable geometry turbocharger offers state-of-the-art mechanics and minimises response times while also guaranteeing benefits in terms of efficiency. The most sophisticated driving satisfaction and comfort levels are also guaranteed by the use of a balancing countershaft.

    Both the new Giulia Veloce models come with 8-speed automatic transmission and are powered by engines made in Italy in the plants in Termoli (petrol) and Pratola Serra (diesel), in areas dedicated exclusively to Alfa Romeo engines, using state-of-the-art processes and methods which place them at the top of their categories for performance and efficiency.

    What’s more, the innovative “AE” – Advanced Efficiency – version will be available at the beginning of 2017. Distinguished by a specific badge on the tailgate, this version – which is available on the Giulia and Giulia Super trim levels, is based on the 180 HP 2.2-litre Diesel engine with 8-speed automatic transmission.
    The Advanced Efficiency variant achieves extraordinary results in terms of fuel consumption and emission levels: 4.2 l/100 km and just 99 g/km of CO2 in the combined cycle.
    These results are obtained thanks to specific technical solutions, through the implementation of a low-pressure EGR valve that improves engine efficiency, an air-water intercooler, a secondary engine cooling circuit in addition to the primary circuit, and specific gearbox ratios. On top of this, thanks to a reduction of approximately 5 millimetres in the height of the car body and to exclusive, specifically-designed alloy wheel rims, the CX has been reduced to 0.23 for improved aerodynamic efficiency. Last but by no means least, the Giulia “AE” Advanced Efficiency is fitted with specific 205/60 R16 tyres for reduced rolling resistance.
    The effects of these innovations can be seen in the overall performance of the engine, starting at low revs, with prejudice to its outstanding performance levels: a top speed of 230 km/h and 7.2″ to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h.

    Four-wheel drive with Q4 technology
    At its world preview, the new Giulia Veloce offers the début of the innovative all-wheel drive system with Q4 technology, designed to handle vehicle traction in real time, and to guarantee outstanding levels of performance, efficiency and safety.

    The architecture of the Q4 system fitted on the Giulia Veloce includes an active transfer case and a front differential designed to accommodate the specific technical requirements of Alfa Romeo, in order to handle a high torque extremely promptly with a particularly compact and light-weight design (the increase in weight is just around 60 kg). The transfer case uses advanced active clutch technology that provides extremely dynamic driving while at the same time guaranteeing reduced fuel consumption. Speedy response and accurate torque distribution are guaranteed by the Next-Gen integrated actuator, depending on the drive mode selected on Alfa DNA.

    In particular, the Q4 system continuously monitors multiple parameters to guarantee optimum torque distribution between the two axles depending on how the car is used and on the available road surface grip. This technology is capable of foreseeing loss in wheel adherence, relying on the information gathered by the lateral and longitudinal acceleration sensors, and by steering wheel angle and vehicle yaw speed sensors. Under normal conditions, the Giulia Veloce with Q4 system behaves like a rear-drive vehicle: 100% of torque is distributed to the rear axle. As it reaches the wheel adherence limit, the system transfers up to 60% of the drive torque to the front axle in real time, thanks to a dedicated transfer case. To ensure maximum speed of response in re-distributing torque, the system exploits a high mechanical over slippage (up to 2.5%) between the two axles, which translates into segment-beating vehicle control in terms of traction and directional stability on bends.

    The Q4 system on the new Giulia Veloce therefore provides all the benefits of all-wheel drive – in terms of stability, traction and safety – while also guaranteeing reduced fuel consumption, extra responsiveness and all the driving satisfaction of a car with rear-wheel drive.

    All the strengths of the Giulia model
    The new Giulia Veloce confirms all the particular features of the model which has launched the come-back of the Italian brand to this major segment. First of all, a distinctly Italian design that is expressed through a sense of proportion and simplicity plus quality surfaces framing the driver and placing him boldly centre stage. In addition, the choice of rear-wheel drive – and now also the Q4 all-wheel drive system – is more than a simple tribute to the most authentic roots of the Alfa Romeo legend: it is also a technical solution which delivers high performance, deep pleasures and supreme driving sensations.

    Further particularities of the Giulia include the outstanding weight distribution across the two axles, the sophisticated suspension (Alfa Rome patent) and the most direct steering in its segment. In addition, the Alfa Romeo Giulia combines extraordinary engine performance with ample use of ultralight materials, like carbon fibre, aluminium, aluminium composite and plastic, in order to obtain the best weight-to-power ratio (less than 3 in the Quadrifoglio version).

    In keeping with Alfa Romeo traditions, the new Giulia offers unique technical solutions that make it the benchmark for its segment. The more sophisticated features include the Integrated Brake System (IBS) for considerably reducing braking distance, and active suspension for exceptional comfort. Exclusive to the Quadrifoglio version, the Torque Vectoring technology affords outstanding torque distribution between the two wheels on the rear axle, and the Active Aero Splitter actively controls downforce at high speed.

    Not to be forgotten, the Alfa Romeo Giulia has recently earned five prestigious Euro NCAP stars, scoring 98% in adult occupant protection. This is the highest score ever achieved by a car despite the more severe evaluation system introduced in 2015. This outstanding result was achieved by implementing two key elements: firstly, the adoption of a wide range of innovative safety systems, and secondly, the efficiency of a bodyshell that is light and rigid in equal measure, and makes extensive use of ultra-lightweight materials such as carbon-fibre, aluminium and aluminium composite.

    The Paris show will be exhibiting two Giulia Super models with a 180 HP 2.2-litre Diesel engine and a 200 HP 2.0-litre Turbo petrol engine, both with 8-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. These models have been embellished with the Sport Pack (including sports steering wheel with specific grip, aluminium inserts on the dashboard, central tunnel and door panels, as well as Xenon headlights) and Luxury Pack which includes: full grain leather seats (available in four colours: black, beige, tobacco and red), leather upholstered dashboard and door panels, heated front seats electrically adjustable to eight settings, heated steering wheel, real wood (oak or walnut) inserts on the dashboard, central tunnel and door panels, plus chrome-plated exterior window frames and electrically folding door mirrors. This car also offers refined Mopar accessories in carbon: the wing mirror housing, the front grille and the gearknob.

    The stand exhibit is completed by a Competition Red Giulia Quadrifoglio, fitted with a 510 HP 2.9-litre V6 Biturbo petrol engine and presented in the sports configuration featuring 5-hole ultra light-weight 19″ wheel rims, carbon ceramic brake system and Sparco seats with carbon structural shell.

    Giulietta and Mito
    The spotlights at the show will also be on the New Giulietta and the New Mito, two restyled models which present a notable family feeling with Giulia. The car frontals feature a new grille and the legendary trefoil nose, arguably one of the most famous and recognisable symbols in the world of motoring. The lettering of the names “Giulietta” and “Mito” also echo that of “Giulia”, with both cars sporting the refreshed logo of the Alfa Romeo brand.

    The ranges of the two models have been optimised so that customers can simply and quickly pick the version most suited to their tastes and needs and then personalise it with optional items and accessories. Outstanding features of the New Giulietta include a bolder sport characterisation, the renewed 120 HP 1.6-litre JTDm turbo diesel engine, with the innovative Alfa TCT automatic transmission and the superb UconnectTM LIVE services, thanks to which it is possible to remain connected at all times through a smartphone.

    The Alfa Romeo stand in Paris showcases the Giulietta Veloce with the exclusive 240 HP 1750 Turbo Petrol engine and TCT automatic transmission. Distinguished by an Etna Black metallic livery, this high-performance version stands out, on the exterior, for its new sports bumpers with red inserts, the glossy anthracite finishes, the glass roof, the enhanced Brembo braking system with red callipers, the 5-hole 18″ alloy wheel rims with burnished finish and the expanded double exhaust pipe. The same sporty mood reigns in the interior, enhanced by smart new seats in leather and Alcantara with built-in headrest, contrasting red stitching and a racy contoured leather steering wheel.

    What’s more, the Giulietta Veloce on show features exclusive Mopar accessories such as carbon spoiler and door mirror caps, specific skirts with Alfa red insert, oversized rear exhausts, LED courtesy lights on the front doors with Alfa Romeo logo projection and Alfa red “Veloce” badge.

    The New Mito will be also be displayed in the Alfa Romeo stand, with a host of restyled features, while maintaining its position as a small sportscar capable of seducing customers through its Italian style, technical excellence and sublime driving pleasures. The Paris International Motor Show will also feature the sportier version in the range – the 170 HP Veloce 1.4-litre MultiAir Turbo petrol version with TCT automatic transmission – featuring new sports seats with red leather upholstery and new 18″ alloy wheel rims.

    The Mito Veloce on show in Paris has also been embellished by the Mopar accessories in its new Sport kit: from the innovative Alfa red finish on the front bumper, to the new Alfa red “Veloce” badge and the burnished diamond-effect 18″ alloy wheel rims.

    4C Coupé and 4C Spider
    Also in the limelight will be the captivating Alfa Romeo 4C, in Coupé and Spider versions, a modern brand icon representing the racing soul written into to the Alfa Romeo DNA: optimum performance and excellent engineering designed for ultimate pleasure and breathtaking style.

    Both cars are powered by the potent turbocharged all-aluminium direct injection engine with 1,750 cm3 with intercooler and dual continuous variable valve timing guaranteeing performance levels comparable to those of a supercar: top speed of 258 km/h (257 km/h for the 4C Spider), acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, 1.1 g lateral acceleration and 1.25 g maximum braking deceleration.
    The supercar spirit also asserts itself in the choice of ultralight materials: carbon fibre for the shell, aluminium for the front and rear chassis framework and SMC (low density compound) for the bodywork.

    The Parisian show will also feature a 4C Spider in three-coat Competition Red, featuring a carbon fibre roll-bar cover as well as the new titanium central dual-mode exhaust system by Akrapovič. In addition, to add a splash of style and enhance the car’s lightness and performance levels, this model boasts burnished finish spoked wheel rims (18″ at the front and 19″ at the rear), as well as carbon fibre exterior components such as the air intake on the side and the door mirrors. Red brake callipers, racy seats and a black leather dashboard with carbon fibre trim round off the style statement of the convertible on show in Paris.

    The stand will also proudly present the award-winning 4C Coupé with three-coat metallic Stromboli Grey livery and carbon fibre on the roof and other elements – such as the air intakes on the side and front bumper, door mirrors and rear spoiler – in addition to red brake callipers, racing exhaust system and 5-hole wheel rims (18″ at the front and 19″ at the rear) with burnished finish. Inside, special red leather sports seats go strikingly well with the leather dashboard and carbon fibre details.

    Both cars on show in Paris boast the sophisticated “Alpine premium sound system” that provides an all-embracing musical experience.

    Alfa Romeo returns to the Paris International Motor Show with a prestigious display area featuring unprecedented construction details and a sophisticated play of lights that emphasise major new product features. The stand therefore has a striking appearance, thanks to the 900 LED tiles making up the internal LED wall; thanks to the quality of the vertical surfaces which express the essence of Alfa Romeo’s DNA; as well as the design of the sports-based texture of the floor, all highlighting the legendary performance of Alfa cars.

    Abarth 124 spider
    The new Abarth 124 spider guarantees all the thrills and fun that only a real spider can offer. Developed with the Abarth Racing team, the car perfectly embodies the leading values of the brand: performance, craftsmanship and engineering excellence. It is a car designed to put the smile back on the faces of those lucky enough to drive it.

    For outstanding dynamic performance, Abarth 124 spider fits a mechanical self-locking differential as standard equipment. This supercar-worthy equipment reasserts the sporty character of the new Abarth 124 spider. Weights are concentrated between the axles and the engine is installed behind the front axle to guarantee optimal agility and superior driving feel. Sophisticated mechanics and special materials have been used to contain the weight to just 1060 kilograms, which results in a weight-to-power ratio of 6.2 kg/HP, the best in its category. Furthermore, the optimal weight distribution guarantees excellent feedback and agility.

    The suspension of the Abarth 124 spider features high double wishbone suspension on the front and a five-arm multi-link on the rear. The set-up is specifically calibrated to increase stability on corners and for compression braking. Steering feedback is optimised by adopting a specific sports calibration of the power steering system.

    Under the bonnet is a powerful, ultra-reliable 1.4 litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine with MultiAir technology. It delivers 170 HP (that is about 124 HP per litre) and 250 Nm of torque: it has a top speed of 232 km/h and goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. What is more, since the engine sound is a fundamental element of all Abarth cars, standard equipment includes Record Monza exhaust with dual mode system capable of modifying the path of the exhaust gas according to engine rpm and guaranteeing linear torque delivery and generating a satisfying, deep roar.
    The spider is available with a six-speed manual or with an automatic Esseesse Sports Sequential gearbox.

    The new Abarth 124 spider is decked out with a host of state-of-the-art active and passive safety devices. In addition to ABS, standard equipment includes EBD, for adjusting front and rear axle brake force distribution to optimise braking distances and guarantee control in all load conditions of the car. Of course, also standard is ESC, for optimal control in all driving conditions, particularly the most critical, in presence of snow, ice or slippery roads.

    The ESC applies selective braking and acts on the accelerator to take the car back on line if a difference between the driver’s action on the steering wheel and line is detected. All these devices can be completely deactivated for driving on the race track allowing the driver to exploit the outstanding balancing and dynamic features of Abarth 124 spider to the max and enjoy an unadulterated and direct driving feeling.

    The seat belts fit Constant-Force Retractors (CFR) to control the degree of force applied by the belt and then gradually release it in controlled manner. On demand, the Visibility Plus pack includes full-LED self-levelling adaptive headlights with automatic orientation to guarantee the best driving comfort also in poor visibility conditions. These are combined with rain sensor, dusk sensor and parking sensors.

    Visitors to the stand will be able to admire two examples of the roadster with the scorpion badge. The first is characterised by a contrasting Turini 1975 white pastel paintwork and matte black bonnet that recalls the classic Abarth 124 Rally, on which this solution was adopted to prevent glare in the driver’s eyes. The second displays a Costa Brava 1972 red livery with matching bonnet: this is the first time that the new 124 spider appears with a one-colour paint job. The Abarth DNA is confirmed on both models also on the inside with an overall focus aimed at guaranteeing perfect ergonomics. Leather seats are supporting and very comfortable at the same time to keep the driver in the ideal position as low and retracted as possible to be able to perceive all side movements of the car. Furthermore, the controls are perfectly in keeping with the sporty set-up of the car: the position of the pedal board, the vertical steering wheel and the short gear stick make for a fully enthralling driving experience. The dashboard features a large tachometer on red background arranged in central position facing the driver and keyless start.

    Comfort is guaranteed by standard heated seats and the excellent soundproofing afforded by the noise deadening windscreen, rear window and double-layer top. The latter is designed to be opened and closed with one hand from the driver’s seat in a few seconds. Once folded behind the seats it does not occupy space in the boot.

    Both cars on show are equipped with the Visibility Plus pack and the Sound pack.
    The first features full LED automatic self-levelling headlights, LED daytime running lights, rain sensor, dust sensor, headlight washer and rear parking sensors. The second has a 7″ touchscreen radio with Bose sound system. An integrated navigation system is also included.

    Officine Abarth
    The début of the new Abarth 124 spider is a comeback to the unconventional emotions which have always characterised the brand with the scorpion badge. A car which symbolises a new energy capable of attracting the many enthusiasts revolving about the brand’s universe. And today, with the arrival across Europe of the first 2500 units of Abarth 124 spider, the value of the heritage cars that are an investment for buyers is being consolidated.

    Abarth has always been appreciative of its glorious history: this pride is culminating in the broad-spanning Abarth Classiche project articulated on multiple points, such as the restoration workshop opened last November in the Officine Abarth in Mirafiori, Turin. In the beating heart of the business designed to develop serial and racing models, an area spanning approximately 900 square metres has been set up as a workshop dedicated to restoring customers’ classic Abarth cars. Accurate restoration activities will be carried out also by relying on the recently catalogued and digitalised documentation and technical drawings. This information will also prove useful for the purpose of certifying the authenticity of mechanical parts (engine, gearbox, exhaust and suspension) for which Abarth has called upon on the advice and experience of ASI and FIVA to define the certification procedures. Officine Abarth is where Abarth 124 spider becomes the archetype of Italian engineering mastery. The car receives a special treatment from Abarth mechanics, who are genuine auto enthusiasts: the men and women of Abarth add value to an already exceptional product. Finally, each car is tested and certified by an Abarth technician in full keeping with the tradition that sees Abarth 124 spider as the successor of the scores of models tuned and built by Abarth. These are all models with a wide fan base in Italy and abroad, owned by an army of enthusiasts who are known to maintain them with extreme dedication.

    Abarth 595
    The New 595 Abarth is the development of an iconic model with the scorpion badge: more powerful engines, even richer standard equipment and plenty of product innovations, some of which commonly reserved to higher category cars.

    On sale in the EMEA region since last June, the new Abarth is a compact, light, nimble car, unrivalled in its configuring and processing options. The new Abarth 595 is the natural heir of the car launched in 2008, which is now found all over the world.
    Performance, technology and iconic Italian style are the key factors behind a successful strategy.

    Available in two versions – sedan and convertible -, the New 595 Abarth line-up features three trim levels (595, 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione) and just as many engine power and tuning levels tp satisfy today’s increasingly demanding and competent customers. Many of the upgrades are the result of experience gained with the development of the 695 Biposto, the “smallest supercar” that offers the thrills and technology of a real racing car on a street-legal vehicle.

    The distinctive yet affordable 595 version is the Abarth entry-level model and offers all the standard equipment needed to ensure the typical enjoyment and driving pleasure expected from the brand. What is more, the 595 is the ideal base for drivers who want to tune their car over time and make it unique. The 595 Competizione and 595 Turismo versions express other two distinctive souls of Abarth. The first is more “radical” and designed for fans of performance and no-compromise sportiness. The second, on the other hand, makes reference to the typical values of the Italian GTs in a compact size perfect for use in cities.

    Both expressions of the model will be displayed in the stand at the Paris Motor Show: a 595 Competizione and a 595C Turismo.

    The first, with a pastel Modena yellow paint job, is equipped with a powerful 1.4 T-jet 180 HP engine (132 kW) developing a torque of 250 Nm at 3000 rpm by exploiting the Garrett GT 1446 turbine. The car is ideal for adrenaline junkies looking for racing performance and technical features: 0-100 acceleration in 6.7″ and oversized Brembo braking system with four-piston aluminium fixed callipers to stop in total safety. Moreover, with the help of the high performance Record Monza exhaust with dual mode system, the engine outputs a specific power of 132 HP/litre. The exclusive feature is available, on request, on the rest of the range, together with the Record Modena exhaust that ensures the same performance but with a less aggressive looking tailpipe. As standard, all variants of the 1.4 T-jet engine are paired with a mechanical five-speed gearbox but they can be fitted with an Abarth robotised sequential gearbox with shift paddles.
    Inside are Corsa by Sabelt seats, among the most supporting available on the market today. They provide extraordinary lateral support and are perfect for sporty driving due to their ability to accurately transmit every minimum load shift to the driver. The seats are available with leather and Alcantara upholstery, in the black variant, with a new carbon shell.
    For more effective sporty driving, the car has a flat-bottom steering wheel with viewfinder made of technical materials, such as carbon and Alcantara. The dashboard, which has always been a key iconic element of the 595, has a tar cold grey finish.

    The innovations continue on the model on display with a brand-new sports instrument panel, with new graphics that characterise the “sport” mode and improve readability. Moreover, the pressure gauge light is now white, making it easier and more immediate to read.

    Next to the 595 Competizione there will be a 595C Turismo with a two-tone Scorpione Black Record Grey livery and tan leather seats. Under the bonnet it fits a 1.4 T-jet with 121 kW and 165 HP ensuring a top speed of 218 km/h. The convertible model also displays the developments and innovations created to improve performance. For example, the front end has been redesigned with an increased air intake: this improves heat management in the engine compartment and also boosts cooling capacity by 18%. So, performance and regularity of engine delivery are increased, even in the case of more extreme racing tunings.

    Abarth engineers also worked on the rear bumper creating a more pronounced and effective diffuser. Specific bumper inserts have also been created for each trim level. They are matte black for the 595, in matching body colour on the 595 Turismo and with the tar cold grey finish on the 595 Competizione.

    The front and rear light clusters are also new, and are equipped as standard with polyelliptical headlights and LED daytime running lights on the entire range. Xenon headlights, fitted on the model on display, are available on demand.
    The new 17″ wheels fitted as standard on the 595 Turismo are 7% lighter and have over 50% more ventilating surface, guaranteeing better heat dissipation and therefore enhanced and more consistent braking system performance.

    Abarth D.A.M.
    The New Abarth 595 is the only car in its segment with a mechanical limited-slip differential (called Abarth D.A.M.), an exclusive performance feature derived directly from the experience gained with the 695 Biposto.
    The Abarth mechanical limited-slip differential exploits the full potential of the 595 Competizione and improves grip in extreme conditions. The mechanical limited-slip differential ensures adequate torque transfer between the front wheels when either has less grip (a typical example is the different speed coming out of curves taken with high lateral load). This equipment ensures holding the line with even greater precision to the benefit of sporty driving efficiency.
    The Abarth mechanical limited-slip differential is part of the new Performance Pack – available only on the New Abarth 595 Competizione with manual transmission – that includes 17″ Supersport wheels, Sabelt leather/Alcantara seats with carbon fibre shells, 595 carved aluminium badge on the roof and the glossy red, white or black customisation pack to personalise the look of the car.

    Infotainment on 595
    Standard equipment includes UconnectTM 5″ Radio with touchscreen and Uconnect Live services (with integrated navigator and DAB on request), and for the first time on the line-up, UconnectTM HD, a fast device with high-def screen, navigator and DAB digital radio. The Uconnect 7″ HD system is complete with a high-def screen and Abarth Telemetry, an integrated system that measures the driver’s performance on the preloaded circuits to analyse lap times, study driving techniques and improve them. It is also customisable, offering the possibility to record new tracks and store them for later retrieval to compare performance. With the preloaded points of interest (Officine Abarth and other significant places for the brand) each owner can now “collect” special badges. Results and progress can naturally be shared on the social networks. With Uconnect 7″ Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto, or the best smartphone mirroring solutions for Apple iOS and Android, will be available on request. Customers can thus quickly and easily access all the functions and contents of their smartphones using the touch screen on their New Abarth 595s.

    Finally, the powerful and sophisticated BeatsAudioTM system with seven speakers is making its appearance on the new Abarth 595 and will certainly win over even the most demanding music lovers. Developed in collaboration with Beats by Dr. Dre, the BeatsAudioTM system boasts an impressive total output of 480 watts and features a digital eight-channel amplifier integrating an advanced equalisation algorithm capable of recreating the entire sound spectrum that an artist experiences during studio recording.

    The Beats AudioTM sound system has two dome tweeters installed in the front pillars, two 165 mm midwoofers in the front doors, two 165 mm full-range speakers in the rear side panels and one 200 mm subwoofer in the middle of the boot in the spare wheel compartment.

    The “Abarth 124 spider Uncovered” digital fascination project dedicated to the new roadster with the scorpion badge will be revealed to the public during the Paris Motor Show. The project brings together technical and emotional contents in a narrative loop created to take aboard new topics and ensure an exciting experience to users. They will be able to discover new paths choosing the contents from which to start to be inspired and get to know new details and potentials of this one-of-a-kind car. The sequence of narrative blocks creates modules which turn the project into a log book of the Abarth 124 spider. “Abarth 124 spider Uncovered” will be present on the dedicated model page on the Abarth website and will be layout-responsive, meaning that it will adapt to the user’s inputs making the experience accessible from all devices. Furthermore, the experience will be shared on the brand’s official social media channels to ensure maximum visibility and reach the most users.

    In brief, 2016 is a year packed with news in terms of product, multimedia contents and social networking opportunities. Like “The Scorpionship”, the only Abarth official community dedicated to owners, collectors, Abarth club members and fans, that opened on March 1 this year. The formula will be that of a major international meeting and the stars will be Abarth cars, from the oldest and most valued classic models built after 1949 – when the brand was established – to the new Abarth 595 and Abarth 124 spider. The programme will be the same for all four events with some local particularities. The increasingly growing “The Scorpionship” community, with its nearly 50,000 members, will be the guest of honour. Visitors to the website can sign up and benefit from discounts of up to 50% on the price of the ticket.

    The Abarth 124 Rally will be classified in the R-Gt category and can consequently compete in all international races and most national ones. Abarth is organising a promotional trophy based on participation in seven rounds of the Italian Rally Championship and an international challenge, the calendar of which will be established by picking the most significant events of the national calendars.     With this car Abarth is kicking off a programme targeted to customers and is preparing an array of activities to promote the drivers and teams that will choose the 124 Rally for racing. In the best Abarth tradition, particular attention will be devoted to young drivers and a special ranking will be dedicated only to them. The best under-23 driver will attend an ACI Sport Federal Super Driving Course and compete in the Montecarlo Rally the following year with an official 124 Rally. The prize is invaluable in terms of experience and prestige considering the level of the drivers competing in the opening event of the Rally World Championship. Abarth racing activities will continue with the Selenia Trophy dedicated to Abarth 595 OT and 695 Assetto Corse.

    The stand
    The details of the Abarth stand in Paris are reminiscent of the feeling of Officine Abarth workshop made of iron girders, rough concrete and metal floor plates polished by car tyres. For the public, it will be like visiting the real workshop of a car mechanic toiling with skilful dedication on an engine.     Hay algunas cuya ausencia tiene sentido, empezando por Lancia. Luego las del grupo VW posiblemente sea para ahorrar, lo mismo que Aston. Pero lo que no entiendo es Alpine!!!, si juegan en casa!
    Lo de Volvo y Mazda puedo suponer que se debe a que no tienen grandes novedades y querrán enfocarse en otros mercados y salones…


    Al final el BMW serie 5 no se verá en París sino en Detroit. La principal novedad es el X2 concept, lo raro es que no sale en la nota de prensa.

    The Mondial De L’Automobile Paris 2016 (Paris Motor Show) from 1 – 16 October 2016 will provide the occasion for Renault and Dacia to showcase the design changes to their line-ups and for Renault to introduce a new cycle of car design for the future. Renault will also use the Paris show to welcome the New Koleos as a European Premiere and share some exciting new developments during the press conference on September 29th at 9.15 am.


    Renault brings to Europe for the first time the premiere of New KOLEOS INITIALE PARIS, a high-end version of the model that will go on sale in most European markets in spring 2017.

    Originally unveiled in Beijing Motor Show, China, in April 2016, the new KOLEOS rounds out Renault’s high-end model range by blending the rugged style of an SUV with the elegant refinement of a large saloon. This D-Segment SUV incorporates all of the traditional features expected in its class, while adding Renault’s acknowledged expertise in comfort and practicality.


    The Mondial De L’Automobile Paris 2016 marks the completion of a renewal and expansion of the Renault range over the last four years – 11 new models and 15 models refreshed – and the introduction of the new Koleos, the new Grand Scénic, the new Mégane Sedan, the facelifted new Clio and the Alaskan pickup.
